In 2009 Dandy’s came to the aid of hundreds of homeowners, business owners and even councils, hospitals and the fire service when they invented Ultragrip Grit Salt; an alternative to rock salt which helped keep the UK rocking and rolling when stocks of traditional road grit were depleted to nothing at the salt quarries and mines.

UltraGrip is different because it is longer lasting and provides extra traction in comparison to normal rock salt usually used by councils for gritting roads and paths. It is composed of powdered salt, included for it's natural deicing properties and for melting snow and ice and a tiny little horticultural grit which provides traction and helps to penerate heavy, thick snowfall, de-icing in even the heaviest snowfall - this makes it particulalry popular for Scottish dwellers who struggle to de-ice with traditional rock salt due to the havier snowfall in their areas!
